Showcase your culinary creativity with Ontario eggs

April 3rd, 2025

Eggs-citing contest gets participants ready to crack some eggs

MISSISSAUGA, April 1, 2025 – In honour of Easter, Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is inviting people across the province to celebrate the return of spring with the Spring into Recipes Contest. From April 1st to 27th, Ontario consumers can showcase their culinary creativity by making one of EFO’s recipes for a chance to win eggs-citing prizes.

Easter is a time to enjoy with family and friends and there’s no better way to do that then by sharing a delicious recipe together. The Spring into Recipes Contest provides Ontarians with the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen with the added benefit of a chance to win prizes, including eggs for a year.

Entering the contest is easy. Participants must simply choose a recipe from EFO’s vast collection at getcracking.ca, make it, then share a picture of your creation by entering on the contest website.

“Spring brings about a feeling of renewal and wanting to try new things,” said Donna Lange, EFO Director of Public
Affairs. “Egg Farmers of Ontario created the Spring into Recipes Contest to inspire people to make a recipe and learn new ways to enjoy fresh, high-quality, Ontario eggs.”

In addition to the contest, EFO will be sampling the perfect Easter appetizer – Air Fryer Mini Phyllo Egg Bites – at select stores including Fortinos Ancaster, Fortinos Stoney Creek and Longo’s Kitchener. Each location will have a local egg farmer on hand to engage with shoppers.
