Eggs are brain food!
Want to help your child do better at school this year? Improve their memory and concentration?
Start by looking at what's on their breakfast plate before they head off to school.
Dietitian Leslie Beck has posted a great article on her website about foods that promote brain power. Foods to fuel your kids to help them do well in school. Eggs are on the list. Egg yolks contain choline which helps brain cell membranes stay healthy and improves memory.
Scrambled eggs, soft or hard-cooked eggs, an omelette, French toast, fried egg.....these are all great ways to eat eggs before heading off to school.
And there's a bonus.
The protein in eggs will keep your children feeling full longer so they don't lose concentration and focus mid-morning because they're hungry and the rumbling in their stomach is distracting them.
