Cooking eggs for breakfast for a crowd
Want to make sunny side up eggs for a crowd without having to hire a short order cook? Here's how. Preheat the oven to 350°F. While the oven is preheating, place a large baking sheet or two in the oven. The number of baking sheets you'll need will depend on their size and the number of "fried" eggs you want to make. Remove the baking sheets from the oven once the oven has preheated and the pans are hot. Brush the bottom and side of the baking sheets with cooking oil or melted butter. Crack eggs onto the sheets. Since the baking sheets are hot, the eggs won't slide around too much. You can try to leave a little space between the eggs if you want but you may find that the egg whites run together. That's okay. Place the baking sheets in the oven for a few minutes. Remove them from the oven when the egg whites are opaque and the yolks are set as desired, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with pepper and cut into individual servings.
